El Reno High School Band
The 1938 Boomer yearbook documents a 43-student band led by Tom Shirley with Earnest Potts as drum major. It describes games, parades, halftime marching, a January 16 concert and an October 23 Weatherford marching-contest prize. The years 1938 and 1937 for those dates are inferred from school-year context. This does not identify the separate 1938 cowboy-band photograph ERL.506.

What remains uncertain
Relationship to the unidentified 1938 cowboy marching band / ERL.506 is unresolved; a shared identity is not established from visual proximity alone.
High for formal school-band identity, 43-student photo-caption roster, director, drum major, visible instrumentation and 1937–38 activities from a contemporary school yearbook; medium for inferred calendar years; no support for identifying ERL.506.
