Respectful correction

Corrections and new evidence

The public correction channel has not yet been selected. This page defines how a future submission will be handled without collecting personal data now.

Review path

  1. Identify the exact record and claim.A correction should name the band, date, person, caption, or relationship at issue.
  2. Supply a traceable source.Useful evidence includes a catalog item, dated clipping, program, yearbook, minutes, official record, or clearly described privately held document.
  3. Compare conflicting evidence.New information is checked against the controlling packet; disagreement is recorded rather than silently erased.
  4. Update the complete record. An accepted change must reach narrative text, dates, relationships, citations, open questions, and revision history.
