Respectful correction
Corrections and new evidence
The public correction channel has not yet been selected. This page defines how a future submission will be handled without collecting personal data now.
Review path
- Identify the exact record and claim.A correction should name the band, date, person, caption, or relationship at issue.
- Supply a traceable source.Useful evidence includes a catalog item, dated clipping, program, yearbook, minutes, official record, or clearly described privately held document.
- Compare conflicting evidence.New information is checked against the controlling packet; disagreement is recorded rather than silently erased.
- Update the complete record. An accepted change must reach narrative text, dates, relationships, citations, open questions, and revision history.
