History
Identity and chronology
The official Army lineage begins with constitution as the 13th Band, Coast Artillery Corps, on March 1, 1907. After multiple redesignations and periods of inactivation, the 77th Army Band was activated at Fort Sill on February 24, 1955.
Leadership
The lineage certificate does not supply a director chronology. Leadership names may be added later from unit records without changing the verified lineage.
Sponsorship and participation
The ensemble is a U.S. Army band stationed at Fort Sill during its Oklahoma chapter.
Adult or plausibly adult; exact participation model may remain unverified.
Activity
The official lineage credits Central Pacific and Western Pacific World War II service and an Army Superior Unit Award for 2009–2010. A 1995 image documents the band at a Tinker Air Force Base V-E Day commemoration.
