History
Identity and chronology
A December 1905 local report documents an “Oklahoma State Band” at Mountain View and discusses instructors, musicians, concerts, instruments, uniforms, financing, and leader compensation. An OHS photograph dated about 1907 identifies the “Oklahoma State Band of Mountain View.”
Leadership
The contemporary report names instructors and musicians, but the present packet does not yet normalize those names into a verified director chronology.
Sponsorship and participation
The evidence describes a locally financed civic organization with uniforms and instruments. The reason for the “State Band” styling is not explained.
Adult or plausibly adult; exact participation model may remain unverified.
Activity
The combined newspaper and photograph evidence securely establishes activity from late 1905 through about 1907, including concerts and organized financing.
