A September 12, 1957 Cleveland American notice includes OMA among invited parade bands. A 2022 institutional alumni account identifies an OMA Marching Band and recalls a 1957 Capitol performance.
Limits and open questions
The parade notice proves invitation, not attendance; the Capitol account is retrospective. Keep the 1959 Mardi Gras claim as a lead because its chronology needs checking against the alumnus’s 1958 graduation.
