April 9, 1920 Broken Bow News reports performances at Wright, Bismark front, Broken Bow and Eagletown by an Idabel band composed of local schoolboys. Chamber of Commerce president John M. Tyler said they had practiced less than a year, with business backing and an employed instructor.
Limits and open questions
New youth configuration lead; not proof of school administration. Relationship to the 1914 and May 1920 Idabel Concert Band remains unresolved; do not count as a separate verified ensemble or assign a precise founding date. Bismark place spelling follows OCR and needs scan confirmation.
