Tulsa Philharmonic conductor and program detail

Evidence note · high confidence

What the evidence supports

OHS describes the new 76-piece group under H. Arthur Brown, his full-time residency beginning in 1949–50, pops and children’s concerts, and Vladimir Golschmann’s 1958–61 tenure.

Limits and open questions

1947–48 organization and 1948 concerts already represented. Preserve relationship to Tulsa Civic Symphony without automatically merging legal or ensemble identities. Full-time conductor is not proof of full-time employment for every musician.

Confidence detail: high. Evidence notes are not a count of distinct ensembles.
