The Earlier research 50-item list is a research selection, not 50 new ensembles or proof that every entry operated continuously within 1900–1941. Existing website citations and its map are derivative documented evidence.
Limits and open questions
Retain date and continuity gaps for pre-1900 or undated evidence. Civic use does not establish adult membership; a sponsor-like name alone does not establish funding. Existing Byars uncertain dating, Wagoner proposal and surname uncertainty, and festival planned/actual distinctions remain controlling.
