Grove High School Band
The 1936 Ridgerunner, page 28, records a 25-member Senior Band under Fred Gesin and music for school and community functions, the Chamber of Commerce, a Skelly Oil banquet, a teachers' meeting at Jay and basketball games. The 1939 page adds later directors and Chamber tours. The 1936 account says the band was organized that school year; the 1939 retrospective says 1934. Both dates remain qualified.

What remains uncertain
Distinct from Grove Junior Band / the separately documented band; founding chronology and continuity remain under review
High for identity, Grove residency, 1935–36 and 1938–39 activity, roster and woodwind/brass/percussion instrumentation from primary yearbook pages; medium for exact founding year because 1936 and 1939 accounts conflict.
