Tatums Band

The January 5, 1922 Black Dispatch reports a Tatums Band concert at Franklin School and music for a Masonic parade and at night. The concert wording conflicts between Friday and Saturday, so December 30–31, 1921 remains a range. The parade date is inferred as January 3, 1922. School-aged membership does not establish formal school sponsorship, and continuity with D. M. Jackson's later 1936–1940 music program remains unresolved.

What remains uncertain

Possible relationship to the Tatums School music program directed by D. M. Jackson in 1936–1940 is unresolved; do not extend continuity without evidence.

High for exact Tatums Band identity and completed parade/night/concert activity from a contemporary Black newspaper; medium for inferred dates; formal sponsorship, instrumentation, director and roster are absent.
