395th Army Band

Existing research already leaves the postwar Oklahoma station chronology unresolved. A 1943 federal origin and modern Mustang assignment do not by themselves prove Oklahoma operation during 1941–1960.

89th Army Band at Fort Sill

New York State Military Museum records Rochester home station, mobilization October 15, 1950, Fort Sill duty for the active-service period, and release February 24, 1955. Its account of the 1951 report lists 89 parades/reviews, seven off-post parades, forty concerts and eighteen athletic events. It dates Oklahoma City/Tulsa dedication visits to August 2–5, Hobart parade to August 6 and Oklahoma City State Fair to September 21–22, 1951; Ralph V. Smith assumed command October 15.
